Police Blotter: Southbury Teen Arrested for DWI After Evading Police, Southbury Man Arrested for Assault

Kathryn Conboy drove around officer before being stopped and arrested. Scott Keller arrested after women found bleeding in road.

A Southbury teen was arrested for DWI early this morning after attempting to elude police investigating an accident.

Kathryn Conboy, 19, of 10 Lee Farm Road in Southbury was charged with stop sign violation, failure to drive to the right and DWI at approximately 1:30 a.m. Friday morning.

According to police reports, Southbury Officer Kevin Burns responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Cobbler Lane where a driver had fled the scene. While checking the area Burns saw a vehicle coming at him on Britiani Road. Burns signaled the vehicle to stop, but it instead drove around the officer and on to Cobbler Lane.

Burns observed the vehicle driving erratically, going through two stop signs and driving left to center. The vehicle was eventually stopped on Stonegate Drive and Conboy was arrested and taken to Troop ‘A’ in Southbury.

Conboy was released on $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 17.

According to police reports, Southbury police were dispatched for a report of a white female in the road with a bloody lip on Thursday at approximately 8:35 p.m. Further investigation led to the arrest of Scott Keller, 48, of 1470 Kettletown Road in Southbury. Keller was charged with disorderly conduct and 3rd degree assault.

Keller was released on $5,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 24.
