Police Find Knife, Wrongway Driver Charged With DUI

The following arrest information was supplied by the Southbury Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Southbury police are investigating a criminal mischief complaint, which occurred to a mailbox on Dublin Road on Saturday, Sept. 29 between 11 p.m. – 12 a.m.

A New Milford woman reported that profanity was scratched into the side of her car while it was parked in front of T.J. Maxx, 100 Main St. North in Southbury, on Friday, Sept. 28 at approximately 7:59 a.m.

A knife was found on Southford Rd. in Southbury near the exit 15 exit of I-84 on Monday, Oct. 1.

Kevin Shea, 52, of Southbury, was charged with DUI and driving the wrong way on a divided highway on Saturday, Sept. 29 at approximately 6:46 p.m.

According to police, Shea was traveling westbound on the eastbound exit 17 off ramp of I-84 in Waterbury.

Shea was released on $500 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 17.
