Police Investigating Southbury General Store Robbery

Lottery tickets and cigarettes stolen from the South Britain Country Store.

Southbury Police are investigating a burglary that occurred on Sunday, August 18 at approximately 2:12 a.m. at the South Britain Country Store, 667 South Britain Road in Southbury.

According to police, the suspect was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and sneakers. Entrance to the store was made by breaking the front glass door using a tire iron.

Stolen items included eight packs of Marlboro cigarettes and several hundred dollars worth of scratch-off lottery tickets, according to police.
