Region 15 Website Hacked, Christmas Morning Joyride Leads to DWI

The following arrest information was supplied by the Southbury Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

An intrusion of the Region 15 website was reported on Dec. 15 after fraudulent and offensive messages were posted on the region’s online home.

According to police, the issue was corrected but officers are following leads to determine who was responsible for the act.

 Robert Carlson, 22, of Southbury, was charged with DWI and reckless driving on Dec. 25 at approximately 3:12 a.m. after police observed him doing donuts in the snow-covered parking lot of the United Church of Christ on Main St. North in Southbury.

Carlson was was released on $1,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 9.
