A brush fire in the woods at 151 Westwood Rd., Woodbury, is now contained, but the clean-up will take a while, Woodbury Fire Chief Janet Morgan told Patch.
"Right now I have no clue where or when it started, nor how many acres have burned," Morgan said.
She said a neighbor reported smelling smoke yesterday -- Monday, April 16.
Roxbury Ambulance was on scene bringing bottled water to the firefighters on scene.
The Southbury Fire Department and Washington Fire Department were also on scene. Firefighters cautioned against getting too close to the brush fire, as the area contains poisonous mountain laurel.
