Southbury Man on Probation Allegedly Had Guns, Drugs

56-year-old man reportedly was in illegal possession of a rifle and a handgun.

A Southbury man on probation is facing several charges after a joint task force made of up local and state police visited his home for a compliance visit.  

William Tito, 56, of Southbury, faces the following charges stemming from the compliance visit on July 18 at approximately 9:01 p.m.  

  • Illegal possession of a rifle
  • Illegal possession of a handgun
  • Possession of a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle
  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Failure to keep narcotics in an original container
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia 

Tito was detained on $50,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 19.
