Woman Charged With Shoplifting at Southbury Stop & Shop, Several DUIs

The following arrest information was supplied by the Southbury Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Rosanna Knapp, 24, of Oxford, was charged with operating a vehicle with a suspended license, operating an unregistered vehicle, failure to have taillights illuminated and failure to respond to a violation on Feb. 21 at approximately 8:20 p.m.

According to police, Knapp was charged after police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Georges Hill Road in Southbury. Knapp had a previous outstanding warrant for her arrest on a failure to respond charge.

Knapp was released on $650 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Mar. 6.

Linda Clark, 65, of Danbury, was charged with sixth-degree larceny on Feb. 21 at approximately 4:35 p.m.

According to police, officers were dispatched to Stop & Shop, 100 Main St. North, for the report of a shoplifter. Clark had allegedly concealed numerous health and beauty products and walked out of the store.

Clark was released on $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear on Mar. 6.

Evan Fisher, 51, of Cheshire, was charged with DUI and making an improper turn on Feb. 23 at approximately 2:10 a.m. after police observed him driving erratically on Rt. 67 near I-84 in Southbury.

Fisher was released on $2,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Mar. 6.

Rebecca Stochmal, 25, of Seymour, was charged with DUI and failure to drive to the right on Feb. 24 at approximately 2:24 a.m. after police observed her driving erratically on Rt. 188 in Southbury.

Stochmal was released on $1,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Mar. 6.

Michael Simmons, 49, of Danbury, was charged with DUI failure to drive in the proper lane on Feb. 24 at approximately 10:55 p.m. after police observed him driving erratically on I-84 West in Southbury.

Simmons was released on $1,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Mar. 13.
