Arthur O'Neill Running Unopposed in 68th District

The Republican is the House Ranking Member on the General Assembly's Judiciary Committee and an Assistant House Republican Leader.

It's smooth sailing today for Arthur O'Neill, who is running unopposed in the 69th Congressional District, which includes the towns of Southbury, Bridgewater, Roxbury and Washington.

The Republican was first elected to the state House of Representatives in a 1988 special election and was most recently re-elected in November 2010.

A resident of Southbury, O’Neill has chaired and served on several committees during his tenure in office.

According to O'Neill's website, "Because he strives to maintain a close relationship with citizens, local elected officials, and community organizations throughout the 69th District, Representative O’Neill has always been able to quickly identify local issues, problems and concerns that can be addressed at the state level through grants or legislation."
