Construction Slated for Kuhne Road on Halloween

Southbury Public Works will begin work Oct. 30 and finish on Oct. 31, weather permitting.

The First Selectman's Office just issued the following statement:

Our Public Works Department will be working on Kuhne Road starting on Wednesday the 30th, preparing the road for a chip seal application. The road will be graded and rolled on Wednesday and an asphalt base material will be applied on Thursday, the 31st of October, weather permitting. It is too late in the season to apply the chip seal finish layer so this will be completed in the spring.

Kuhne Road will remain open to through traffic during this work, but some delays should be expected. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve Southbury's infrastructure and provide safe roads for our residents.
