Dem, GOP Officials to Speak at Annual 'State of the Town' Address

"State of the Town" address set for Tuesday night.

The annual "State of the Town" address, organized by the Southbury League of Women Voters (LWV), has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 27, at Southbury Library.

To ensure a non-partisan meeting, the LWV invited both Democratic First Selectman Ed Edelson and Republican Selectman John Monteleone to speak.

The selectmen will address current public policy issues and make recommendations for the town’s future, according to a release from the LWV. Audience members will also be able to submit questions to the speakers.

The meeting is set to begin at 7 p.m. in the Kingsley Room of the library.
