First "Brown Bag Lunch" of 2013 Scheduled

Lunch is designed to answer questions from residents and open discussions on Southbury topics.

The first “Brown Bag Lunch” of 2013 will be held next week and residents are encouraged to bring their Southbury-related questions to First Selectman Ed Edelson and other town employees who are available to attend.

“This is just one more way to continue the ongoing dialogue with the residents of Southbury about issues that concern them or questions they may have,” Edelson has said about the lunches. “Some people are more inclined to use technology to keep in touch through social media, but this is an opportunity to meet face to face – rather than Facebook to Facebook – to talk about things that are of interest to all of us."

If residents would like to participate in the “Brown Bag Lunch”, just bring a lunch and take a place at the large table in Room 205B of Southbury Town Hall on Friday Jan. 25 at 12 p.m. This monthly event is an opportunity for residents to engage in an open conversation with Southbury’s First Selectman and the public is cordially invited, said Edelson.
