Take the Time to Take Care of Yourself!

I remember when our boys were younger.  We were both working crazy hours, and running all over the place for activities and play dates.  I was always exhausted, and often short-tempered.  I tried to give everything I had to our kids, leaving myself empty.

We all need to rejuvenate ourselves in order to be able to give to others!

A good place to start is to take ten minutes to make a list of the things that make you feel good.  My list includes listening to music, creating something, taking a bath, sitting quietly for five minutes alone, baking bread, digging in the dirt, knitting, shutting my eyes in the sunshine, taking a walk, putting moisturizer on my face, and getting a massage.  What's on your list?
