Laurel Diner vs. Yvonne's: The Battle for Southbury’s Top Breakfast

Voting open until Saturday night, a winner will be announced Sunday.

After two days and dozens of votes from Patch and Facebook users we've narrowed down the numerous Southbury breakfast options to two finalists.

With strong performances in the initial round of voting, Laurel Diner and Yvonne's will square off for a chance to be claimed 'Best Breakfast in Southbury' by our Patch users.

So who has the edge between the two? Who will get the title for Southbury’s best breakfast? Cast your vote by taking the poll below from now until Saturday night. On Sunday we’ll announce the winner and crown a champion.

Also, it's one thing to prefer one restaurant over another without anonymously calling another 'horrible'. I've never heard anyway say Yvonne's is terrible and as a matter of fact anyone I have ever talked about them with have said they love the place You must have an ax to grind.

All businesses in Southbury were able to receive nominations in the initial round of voting. The two businesses that received the most votes, Laurel Diner and Yvonne's, went on to the next round. Thank you for your comments.

I must admit I missed yesterdays patch and I am very sorry I did. Hen of the woods is the best.

I can't say anything about Hen of the Woods because I've never been there. As far as Leo's, it is very plain. Between Laurel and Yvonnes, Laurel is MUCH better. Everything is delicious, and the cooks and waitresses are really nice. It's a nice environment with great food/service.
