By far the golden button hands down. One of a kind unique decor and gifts. Super cool workshops for me and kids. The girl who owns this place is super talented fun and even does birthday parties!!! The prices are unbeatable!!! The best gift shop in the tribury area!!!!

The Jewelry Cafe!
Andrea Woerner July 25, 2012 at 03:23 PM
The Jewelry Cafe! Laura Brown has an amazing selection of gifts in all price points. She not only carries unique jewelry, she has a great selection of Flax clothing and one-of-a-kind gifts for every occasion. Laura is extremely friendly and customer oriented. I had a great experience buying a gift for my friend there.

Definitely the Jewelry Cafe should be included in your gift shop list
Sue Torrey July 25, 2012 at 08:55 PM
Why wasn't The Jewelry Cafe on your list!!!!! That is downright CRAZY! If you're going to do a poll (and I think they can be divisive, not community-building), make sure it's a complete selection!
Joan Kloth-Zanard July 25, 2012 at 08:57 PM
I am really disappointed to see that the Jewelry Cafe is not on this list. I actually patronize Laura's establishment far more than the others because of the quality of her products as well as the beautiful one of a kind hand made pieces that she offers for sale. I hope that you revamp this and include The Jewelry Cafe in your contest, as I would definitely vote for her in a heart beat.

I agree with all of the above: Jewelry Cafe is a wonderful store with artisan gifts from around our region. I buy gifts there frequently. Laura makes the experience personal and enjoyable. Maries is also a wonderful store.

Hard to believe that the Jewelry Cafe was not an option here. I have bought so many gifts there for all ages and within all sorts of budgets. When you visit The Jewelry Cafe it is a different experience every time! Laura is a gem. She is so helpful when you are looking to find the perfect gift. Never a hard sell! It is the first place I think of when I need to buy a gift for any occasion!

Hello, Jewelry Cafe is not included because readers did not nominate the business during the month-long nomination period leading up to this competition. Best, Dan

I vote for the Golden Button for its local flare and upbeat family friendly activities. It would have gone to the Jewelry Cafe, however, had that been on the list of nominees. May I respectfully suggest that for future contests the organizers not only use nominations, but also use their own knowledge of main street to add businesses that were merely overlooked?

Definitely the Jewelery Cafe! Laura, does everything she can to ensure that she is carrying only the best quality items at a local level and almost always things made in the USA. Laura is always looking to make your piece special. If she doesn't have it, she will see what she can do to get it for you. Unique gifts with a personal touch. You can't beat Laura's welcoming personality. She makes everyone who shops there feel like family. Please add the Jewelery Cafe to the list and mark me down for a vote!

I'm sorry your readers missed the opportunity to vote for the Jewelry Cafe but after reading all the comments and votes, I see that in addition to me there are many supporters. Stop in and give it a look, you will be pleasantly surprised.

I too would vote for the Jewelry Cafe if I had the chance. The selection is wonderful, and Laura is so nice to work with. You always feel welcome and important to her. It's the perfect place to go to find that special, unique gift. Not only does Laura carry jewelry as the name suggests, but she also carried the Flax clothing line, beautiful pottery, handbags and more! It's a treat for the eyes, and a must see!

Respectfully, Dan, I would posit that most of us were too busy running children around to various camps, planning or taking vacations, and running businesses at the same time to even notice there was a nomination process. June/July is the CRAZIEST period in what can be the craziest -- not laziest -- time of year. Perhaps it would be better for the Patch to accrue the list itself. :D

The Golden Button hands down!!! First, The owner Kate is great! Her shop has unique gifts that are all done by local artisans. Also she offers a variety of workshops for anyone who is interested in crafting some of the things that the may like in the store. Also very kid friendly, she offered great summer camps for children of varying ages and every camp had a unique theme.
