The 10th Anniversary of the Halo Awards will be held on May 28 at the Palace Theatre in Waterbury.  Seven Angels Theatre pioneered these awards back in 1994 and have been growing ever since. The Halo Awards are given not only to actors, but those students who are behind the scenes. The purpose of Halo Awards is to acknowledge and congratulate all of the young adults who participate in high school theatre.

Pomperaug Theater Company is the production arm for the Pomperaug High School educational theatre program. Its purpose is to afford opportunities for the Region 15 students in grades 9-12 to engage in a real-world work experience in theatre. The productions are designed to imitate the work of theatre professionals under the guidance of the Artistic Director, Paul E. Doniger.

“Needless to say, I am very proud of these students and the casts and crews of both plays for their exceptionally hard work and dedication this year,” said Mr. Doniger. “I also want to recognize our fabulous new band director, John Tzetzo. Congratulations to John and all the wonderful student-musicians in the pit orchestra.”
