When and how did your business get started?
Respond If You Please was started years ago as an at-home and by-appointment business. We opened our retail shop in Bennett Square in March 2013.
Why did you choose to start your business in Southbury?
I chose to have my business in Southbury because it is my hometown. I grew up here and have strong roots in the community. My shop is minutes from my own home, my parents' home, and down the street from the park named after my Grandfather.
What is your business best known for?
Invitations, Announcements, Favors & Gifts for all of life's celebrations. Bridal, Baby, Party, Bar & Bat Mitzvah, Personalized Stationery & Stamps. We work with the top companies in the stationery industry to bring you the best quality invitations for all of your celebrations.
What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?
Our "normal" boutique hours are not exactly "typical" because we have four kids, but since we live minutes from the shop, PLEASE CALL if you find that we are closed and you need something. Even on "off" days, I am almost always popping in to print an order or drop things off and never mind meeting someone there! One of the other reasons we keep "off hours" is that we often hold our consultations at those times so that we can provide clients with as much undivided attention as possible and to meet the scheduling needs of our busy clients too! So the best thing to do is call or email.
