Pomperaug Youth Lacrosse Food Drive

'Tis the Season of Giving…

 The holiday season is right around the corner and Pomperaug Youth Lacrosse is going to kick it off with a Food Drive.  We'd like to ask all members of the community to make a donation to help fill the shelves of our local Southbury Food Bank by purchasing an item from the list supplied below.  And, to reward customers for their generosity to the Food Bank, Pomperaug Youth Lacrosse will enter your name in a contest to win a $50 Visa gift card when you donate at least one item!  Look for Pomperaug Lacrosse players and volunteers in the gazebo at the Southbury Green on Saturday December 4 from 12:00noon to 3:00pm.  While you are there, check out some of our new Pomperaug lacrosse socks, cloth decals, winter hats and more… great for kids of all ages – even teens!  

 Below is a list of items that are needed most at the Food Bank:

• 100% Fruit Juice (cans / bottles / boxes)

• Powdered Milk

• Canned Vegetables & Fruit

• Rice / Dry & Canned Beans

• Chunky Soups & Beef Stew

• Spaghetti & Sauce

• Macaroni & Cheese

• Tuna & Other Canned Meat

• "Sugar Free," "Low Sodium," & "No Salt" items

Personal Care Items Most Needed:

• Shampoo, Toothpaste, and Toothbrushes
• Diapers, Detergent, and Deodorant
• Shaving Cream, Razors, and Hairbrushes

 Items that will not be accepted:

• Unlabeled or dented
• Any open packaging
• Products that need to be refrigerated
• Homemade foods
• Expired products
