Upon receiving a grant from the Connecticut Community Foundation, the Southbury Senior enter will be sponsoring a Senior Center Symposium on Friday, September 30th from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Designed to highlight the unique programs of Senior Centers in the area, this is an opportunity for Seniors to stop in and see what is offered. Attendees will be able to meet the directors of several senior centers, see what classes and programs they offer, even sample some of their programs.
Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) will be the guest speaker. As a member of the Senate Committee on Aging, Senator Blumenthal will address issues of concern to Seniors today.
