The Pomperaug Panthers are fighting one battle off the field this season.
SportzEdge.com is sponsoring a contest to see which Connecticut high schools have the best football fans, and Panthers fans have made it to the final round!
One of three finalists, Panthers fans impressed judges with their devotion and spirit. "At the Black Panthers game, everyone is a part of the jungle, and the marching band plays 'Welcome to the Jungle,' to get everyone ready," according to SportzEdge.com.
The Panthers are up against the Sheehan Titans from Wallingford and the Blue Knights from Southington.
