Southbury Walgreens, 370 Main St. S, together with Southbury Women’s Club, announce an amateur photo contest to be held during the Fall Fine Arts Festival, September 7, 2013 on the Southbury Green 10 am – 4 pm. Everyone is invited to participate and entry is free. Contestants will compete for a $50 prize including a $25 gift certificate donated by Walgreens and $25 cash.
Voting by dollars will be held during the entire Fall Fine Arts Festival. Contestants are encouraged to bring their friends and family to the event to vote and to enjoy a day of shopping for unique art and handcrafts, food, crafts and face painting for kids, music by Changes Urban Instrument and Scratch, plus art demonstrations and a wellness booth.
The prints of the photos on display at the festival will also be for sale. The winning photo will be featured on the Southbury Women's Club Website and will be submitted to the newspaper.

A portion of the proceeds from voting and the sale will be donated to the Region 15 art program and Friends of Pomperaug Music.
There is no cost to enter! All family friendly subjects will be accepted. Southbury Women's Club reserves the right to refuse entries. Please no photos of identifiable people. Artist and Handcrafter Spots are still available on a first come, first serve basis – and many returning artisans have already applied to ensure their spot.
