The Jewelry Café Artist Co-operative will give everyone the chance to win a luxurious Italian leather designer handbag that retails for $525.00, for just $5.00.

The Southbury Women’s Club and Jewelry Café are currently conducting a raffle for a Rioni “Lady” handbag.  This gorgeous, black patent leather purse is on display at the Jewelry Café Artist Co-operative at 220 Main Street South in Southbury. Raffle tickets are $5.00 apiece and can be purchased at the store or from club members.  The drawing will be held at the Jewelry Café at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2013.  The winner does not need to be present to win.

“The Southbury Women’s Club helps the community in so many ways that I wanted this to be special” says Laura Brown, the owner of the Jewelry Café Artist Co-operative, “and this bag is the epitome of style.”   The “Lady” bag by Rioni is made of premium Italian, quilted black patent leather, embossed with a RR design reminiscent of a quilted Chanel purse and is adorned with gold hardware and 8 inch drop handles; a perfect fit for under your arm.  The inside of the top zippered bag features a zippered center divider and several pockets along the sides.  This roomy bag measures 12 inches wide by 5 inches deep and 10.5 inches tall.

“The club is able to offer this raffle due to the generosity of the Jewelry Café’s owner, Laura Brown”, said club member Marge Skinger. “Laura approached the club a few months ago about wanting to help us in a meaningful way.  When she started to carry these upscale, beautiful bags it seemed like the perfect offering.  It’s not just our club and community that benefits from generous businesses like The Jewelry Café, there’s going to be one very happy, lucky winner!”
