Southbury Training School Local S15 Fill the Boot for MDA

The Southbury Training School Local S15 will be filling the boot for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) from Thursday, August 11 to Saturday, August 13, 2011 in Southbury, Conn.

Local S15 will collect donations for the fight against neuromuscular disease at the Southbury Training School, located at 1461 S Britain Rd, Southbury, Conn., 06488, from 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursday and 6 to 9 a.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday.

On Saturday, August 13, members will fill the boot at the K-Mart Plaza, located at 100 Main Street North, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Funds raised go to the Association to support summer camp, research, and programs within the community.

MDA is the nonprofit healthy agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related disease by funding worldwide research.  The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education.
