Tuesday, January 14
Teens in grades 9-12 are invited to the "BFF Book Night" at the Southbury Public Library, 100 Poverty Road, Southbury, at 6 p.m. This week's discussion will center on "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Steven Chbosky. To register, stop by the library or call 203-262-6026, ext. 110.
Wednesday, January 15
Weigh in on the Southbury movie theater proposal at the public hearing tonight at Pomperaug High School, 234 Judd Road, Southbury, at 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, January 16
Positive Discipline of Western CT is offering free parenting classes in Brookfield at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. To pre-register, email laurie@positivedisciplinewesternct.org or barbr@positivedisciplinewesternct.org two hours prior to start of class.
Friday, January 17
The 3rd Annual Pasta Dinner to benefit the Oxford Animal Shelter takes place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 1284 Strongtown Road, Southbury, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children, and includes pasta, salad, bread, dessert, coffee, and soda.
The Horgan Academy of Irish Dance, 198 Meadow St., Route 63, Naugatuck, is accepting new students who wish to be prepared for St. Patrick's Day, which is just 60 days away!
