Hike & Hunt at Phillips Farm Preserve Sunday

Free guided hikes, children's scavenger hunt and more this weekend.

Beginning at 2 p.m., activities will include a children’s scavenger hunt, a tree walk, short and long distance hiking, refreshments and prizes for the scavenger hunters.

Starting the program, David Liedlich will give a talk on the American Chestnut Tree restoration that the Southbury Land Trust has participated in for the past 5 years.

Then join a walk led by Deputy Tree Warden Leslie MacLise-Kane through the forest at the preserve. Information about the Emerald Ash Borer and other threats to Southbury’s trees will be shared.
