Special Olympics - Connecticut Northwest Region

Close to 2,000 children across 51 towns in northwest Connecticut compete in Olympic-type sports under the guidance of 250 volunteer coaches. This branch of the Special Olympics also organizes singular sports competitions. It holds basketball invitationals in March, aquatics in April, regional games in May, bocce and softball in August, bowling in October, and more. Rob Gerowe is the regional director.
