I'm a student at Vassar College, studying Political Science and Religion. More relevant to this site, though, I write an opinion column here at the Southbury Patch! I'm a bit opinionated -- a quality prerequisite to being an opinion columnist -- but rumor has it that I'm actually friendly and enjoy getting to know new people.

As to my credentials, I have considerable experience in both politics and journalism. Campaign politics is my forte, and I am currently Deputy Director of Communications &amp; Media on a county executive campaign in New York. I also work as Editorial Assistant at the Vassar Quarterly, the college&#39;s alumnae/i magazine. Previously, I spent three years (two as editor) at the <i>Phoenix</i><i><b> </b></i>magazine -- a biweekly publication that serves as the Pomperaug community&#39;s only independent news source.
