“Creaks and Leaks – And We’re Not Talking About Your House”

On Tuesday, February 22, The Watermark at East Hill will host “Creaks and Leaks,” a two-part presentation featuring Michelle Lyons and Meghan Pogodzienski, physical therapists at Access Rehab Centers-Southbury.  The lecture is free of charge and open to the public, and will be from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the auditorium at the retirement community in Southbury.

The presentation will first address Osteoporosis.  Known as "The Silent Disease,” this worldwide epidemic oftentimes goes unnoticed until one fractures a bone.  Lyons and Pogodzienski will discuss how to boost your bone health, why diet and exercise are important, and what lifestyle changes you can make to enhance bone density.

In addition, Lyons and Pogodzienski will discuss how to better control your bladder and provide simple exercises that can help you sneeze, laugh until you cry, and venture far from a restroom with confidence.
